PRESENTATION DRAWINGS

This project 4,students need to draw based on their ComfortABLE CHAIR design, each student is also required to produce at least one coloured:
i)   axonometric drawing (1:20 scale), and
ii)   perspective drawing (with human figure shown
and students are required to produce a plan and elevations (front, right, left and rear) drawings of their chair.

From secondary school, my plan and elevations drawing is very bad. With help from my friend i try to finish it.
This is my drawing:

OBJECT CREATION : A FREE-FORM SCULPTURE

For this project 3a.the free-form sculpture:
  • Each student is required to create an object of a free-from sculpture that can be made from any materials (new or recycled)
  •   The theme of the sculpture is HARMONY, but each student is free to choose their specific concept that is relevant to the stipulated theme.
  •   No restriction in colours to be selected (black & white, monochrome or variety of colours)
  •   The maximum size of the sculpture is 250mm (width), 300mm (length) and 450mm (height)
Unfortunally, when the submission date, I got fever and I did't go to studio that day. Meaning that I did not sent my sculpture.

For project 3b: OBJECTS CONNECTION: A ComforTABLE CHAIR
  •   In group of 3, students are required to produce a structural model of a wooden L-shape seating object that combines a table and chair(s) (students are free to design and decide the form of each chair/sofa/table/desk)
  •   Besides aesthetical factors, students should also consider the function of the furniture as an outdoor comfortable resting spot for HBP community and visitors (as it will be placed near the HBP pond-waterfall).
  •   Each group should include (freehand) written statement to describe about their model design (on the suitable empty spaces next to the L-Shape model) and the title of the project (Objects Connection), the name of each group members, their majors, and the number of main group & studiomasters (on the bottom right of the mounting board)
For this project,my friends and I decide to make this:
We make this design based on the concept relax while study. this chair can make around 6 HBP's students to sit at there.

NATURAL & MAN-MADE STRUCTURES

For project 2a, which is natural structure:
  •  Students are required to produce a black & white sketch of a natural structure that can be found around USM Main Campus e.g. trees & plants, insects, animals, other creatures etc.
  •  The sketch should include the elements of light and shadow.
  • Students are also required to do write up (using ‘uppercase architectural lettering’) describing the object chosen for the sketch.
  •  At the back of the mounting board, students should paste the actual photo (black & white) of the object chosen. Students also need to write the name of the object and the location where it is found below the photo.
I decide to draw coconut tree near my desasiswa, Fajar Harapan. The coconut tree is at Tasik Fajar Harapan. I decide to draw this tree because it near with my room which is easy for me to go there to draw in front of this tree. I just draw this tree without know which is the best angle to draw the tree.

Project 2b: Man made structure
§  Students are required to produce a coloured drawing of a man-made structure that can be found around USM Main Campus.
§  The man-made structure should not be more than one-storey height which clearly exposes its main structures like bus stop, car porch, covered pathway, wakaf etc.
§  In addition to the elements of light and shadow, the drawing should also include human figure as a reference of scale.
§  Students are also required to do write up (using uppercase architectural lettering) describing the object chosen for the drawing.
§  At the back of the mounting board, students should paste the actual photo foto (black & white) of the object chosen. Students also need to write the name of the object and the location where it is found below the photo.

For this project, I choose bus stop near Desasiswa Fajar Harapan. For this drawing,I think it very difficult for me to finish it.

ME, MYSELF & I

The tasks and requirements for project 1a is stewardship. Students need to sketch their own face with pencil. Student also need to write some descriptions about themselves,by describing their:
i)    personal background
ii)   how they see themselves in 5 years later
iii)  as urban &regional planner, what can they contribute for the technologist of the built environment

althought,my drawing is not like me in the real world, but i have try my best to finish this drawing. I learn how to draw face in youtube. I saw many video how to draw a face because i don't have any basic in drawing.

For project 1b,students need to create a personal logo that best reflects their personality and strengths. The logo should contain a maximum of 3 colours.
I choose a bee as my personal logo because the characteristic of the bee is very unique. For the colours, i choose yellow, black and white same like a bee's colour.

my architectural writing

assalammualaikum and hi!!!
this blog is my virtual portfolio of my project studio. Each student needs to create a personal virtual portfolio as a medium of visual communication in sharing our studioworks with people. First of all,i need to make some architectural writing. This is my first time to hear about this writing.
